Sharwhphodel began in 2015 when the Patel family, with three generations of textile care expertise, partnered with environmental scientist Dr. Emma Chen to reimagine dry cleaning for the modern era. Concerned about the industry's environmental impact, they set out to develop a cleaning system that was both effective and ecologically responsible.
The name "Sharwhphodel" combines "karna" (Sanskrit for "committed") and "volr" (Scandinavian for "guardian"), reflecting our commitment to being guardians of both your garments and the environment. After two years of research and development, we launched our first location in Takapuna, introducing Auckland to our revolutionary GreenTech™ cleaning process.
Today, Sharwhphodel is recognized as New Zealand's premier eco-conscious dry cleaner, setting new standards for garment care while minimizing environmental impact.
